In 2026, the Doraemon movie was released in 4DX for the first time in its history.
When I heard about it, I immediately decided to go with my family.

What is 4DX?

4DX is not just a movie.

The seats move, wind blows, and sometimes a little water is sprayed.
It feels more like a theme park attraction than a normal movie.

In this movie, there are many underwater scenes, so the wind and movement create a refreshing and exciting feeling.

Why I watched it (and twice)

My family watches Doraemon movies every year.

When the 4DX version was announced later, I felt this was a rare opportunity.
We watched it twice in 4DX.

My kids enjoyed it so much that we decided to go again.

We did not watch the normal version.

All my children enjoyed it.

The youngest (5–6 years old) had no problem and had a lot of fun

Seat tips (from real experience)

I watched it twice in different seats.

Front row → very immersive, no heads blocking your view
Middle seats → easier to see light effects

The movement, wind, and water effects are similar everywhere.
So you can choose your seat freely.

Is it worth it?

If you like Doraemon, I recommend watching it in 4DX.

Normal versions may be available in your country later.
But Doraemon 4DX is rare.

If you are in Japan now, this is a great chance.

The movie is completely in Japanese.

If you know Doraemon or the original story → you can follow it
If you understand some Japanese → even better
